 Jens OddershedeRector (Vice-chancellor, President) of the University of Southern Denmark, Chairman of Universities Denmark. Jens Oddershede has been rector for the University of Southern Denmark since 2001 and prior to that, he was dean of science and engineering at the same university from 1992 to 2001. He graduated from Aarhus University in chemistry and physics in 1970. He is professor of chemistry within the field of quantum chemistry. Jens Oddershede specializes is the theory of electronic structure, and he has published about 180 papers and a book. He has been visiting professor at several US and European universities. Since 2005 he has been the chairman of Universities Denmark. He was vice-chairman for the same organisation 2002-2005. He has acted as member and chairman of several boards on university politics, and in research councils, research parks and venture companies.
